Outlook Relationship Management System

A user-first CRM for the funeral industry
Outlook Relationship Management System

Challenge

Building a customer relationship manager that would give users all of the features they really needed and none of the ones they didn’t

Solution

Getting user feedback to help us determine where we should focus our effort when it came to designing and building a new experience

Results

A CRM that helps our users focus on what’s important — relationships with their customers

Customer relationships, managed

To allow Outlook Group sales representatives to record and monitor potential customers, we designed a robust opportunities management page. Beginning with simple sketches, we were able to validate functionality with Outlook Group stakeholders before moving into visual design.

Information Architecture

Streamlined Workflows

Many CRMs tend to pack in as many features as possible — many that are rarely used. This raises the learning curve and doesn’t help users achieve their goals. We intentionally kept ORMS lean in an attempt to let them focus on their customers.

Streamlined Workflows for ORMS

Technology

Making Search a Breeze

Our sales rep users didn’t have time to filter and sort through leads when a potential customer called them out of the blue. They needed to be able to access information quickly so they could pick up where they left off without missing a beat.

Interface Design

Mobile Ready

When our users are in the field, the only way to stay connected is through their phone. A mobile app is costly and takes a long time to build, so we opted for a mobile friendly, responsive website. Our users got access to everything they needed wherever they needed it, and our client was able to spend their budget on building out cooler features instead of rebuilding the same app on several platforms.
